Upon receiving the information, the Engineering Board of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command, in coordination with relevant forces, promptly deployed measures to collect and dispose of the ordnance. During the operation, civilians were strictly kept away from the danger zones. The commune- and ward-level Military Commands cordoned off the areas, assigned forces to protect the sites, and organized the transportation of the ordnance to locations far from residential areas.
Subsequently, the Ea Ning Commune Military Command and the Thanh Nhat Ward Military Command reported to the Defensive Area Command Region 5-Dray Bhang, which coordinated with the Engineering Board of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command to conduct inspections and identification of the ordinance.
At Ea Ning commune, the unexploded ordnance was identified as an MK-82 bomb, weighing 227kg, approximately 1m in length and 30cm in diameter.
At Thanh Nhat ward, the discovered ordnance included a 90-pound M82 fragmentation bomb, measuring 71.1cm in length, 15.3cm in diameter, weighing over 40kg, along with a 57mm artillery warhead.
