The center’s personnel provide free medicine for locals

Huynh Van Tam, born in 1962 from Phu Diem hamlet, An Hoa Hai commune, Tuy An district (Phu Yen province), remarked, "Not long ago, I suffered from a serious illness that threatened my life. Thanks to the medical treatment and financial support for treatment expenses provided by the Convalescent Center for Submarine Sailors, my health conditions have significantly improved."

In the conversation with reporters, Senior Colonel Duong Van Thien, Director of the Convalescent Center for Submarine Sailors, stated, "Along with fulfilling the political tasks, the center's Party Committee and Board of Directors have paid much attention to effectively carrying out mass mobilization work and boosting related emulation movements. The center's leadership has directed affiliated units to develop personnel in line with ethical standards in communication with patients and their families. This has contributed to building the center as an exemplary unit in implementing mass mobilization work in Phu Yen province."

Established in 2013, the Convalescent Center for Submarine Sailors has not only well performed its core mission of caring for the health of submarine sailors and naval officers but actively collaborated with local authorities, organizations, and individuals in conducting effective mass mobilization work in Phu Yen province.

In 2023, the center has organized health consultancy, medical check-ups, and distributed free medicines to 300 residents of An Hiep commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province. They have collaborated with local youth organizations to conduct coastal waste collection and environmental sanitation in the coastal area of Tuy Hoa city. Additionally, they have paid respects to fallen heroes, mobilized staff to support the establishment of the Gratitude Fund and the "For the Needy" Fund, among other initiatives, with a total value amounting to hundreds of millions of dongs.
