On the afternoon of July 26, a delegation of the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense led by Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien offered incense and flowers in tribute to heroic martyrs at Po Hen National Historical Relic site in Hai Son commune, Quang Ninh province.

In the solemn atmosphere, the delegation vowed to stay united and absolutely loyal to the Party, Fatherland, and people, as well as continuously uphold revolutionary heroism, the noble qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new situation, and the glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army.

On the occasion, the CMC, MND, Military Region 3 Command, Border Guard Command and Quang Ninh province offered 270 gifts to policy beneficiaries and national contributors in the locality.

* On the same day, a delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Hien inquired after and presented gifts to national contributors and policy beneficiaries in Quang Tri province.

In detail, the delegation visited the heroes of the People’s Armed Forces Truong Duc Hai and Le Thi Thanh; wounded soldier Nguyen Thanh Tung; non-commissioned Major Do Thi Lan Huong (wife of martyr Colonel Bui Phi Cong, who sacrificed during performing search and rescue operation at Rao Trang Hydropower Plant No.3 in October, 2020); non-commissioned First Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Giao Linh (wife of martyr Lieutenant Colonel Pham Ngoc Quyet, who died while assisting people in flood recovery efforts in October 2020 at Defense-Economic Unit 337, Military Region 4).

Gen. Hien also affirmed that the CMC and MND always place special importance on implementing gratitude activities and policies for troops’ relatives to help them overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

* Military Hospital 5 under the Department of Logistics and Technical Services of Army Corps 12, the Ninh Binh provincial Military Command and other units jointly organized a program to provide free medical examinations, health consultations, medicines for more than 300 people and present 40 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers, policy beneficiaries, and needy households in Gia Van commune, Ninh Binh province.

Gifts given to Hero of the People's Armed Forces Le Thi Thanh

* A delegation of Military Hospital 97 under the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services gave free health check-ups, medicines to nearly 350 people in Suoi Me, Hon Gam and Ka To villages and handed over gifts to policy beneficiaries in Dong Khanh Son commune, Khanh Hoa province.

* Military Hospital 211 visited and presented 122 gift packages to policy beneficiaries and national contributors in Gia Lai province and relatives of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, as well as officers and staff working at the hospital. 

* In Ho Chi Minh City, the liaison board of Division 9, Army Corps 34 offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap and heroic martyrs of the division at its Hall of Fame and handed over 34 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and veteran in difficult conditions in the locality.
