Speaking at the event, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan said that in recent years, under the leadership and direction of the Party and the State, specifically the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, the border guard force has closely coordinated with ministries, departments, mass organizations, and local Party committees and authorities to introduce many innovative and effective policies and initiatives. These efforts have strengthened grassroots political systems and promoted economic, cultural, and social development in border areas and on islands, earning high appreciation and support from all levels of government and from the people.

Among them, the “Border Mid-Autumn Festival” program stands out as a creative and practical initiative that leaves a deep impression, reflecting the affection and sense of responsibility of border guard officers and soldiers toward people of all ethnic groups living along the border and on islands, especially toward students, the future generation of the nation.
During the event, participants joyfully immersed themselves in the festive atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn celebration, which featured elaborately prepared performances such as lion dances, quizzes, and magic shows.
Especially, the singing and dancing performances by children brought warmth, affection, and cheer to the night, leaving a beautiful and lasting impression on all delegates and local residents.

At the event, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien handed over gifts to local children. The working delegation presented 100 gift packages to students with difficult circumstances. The Border Guard Command and the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee also awarded 512 scholarships and distributed over 3,300 Mid-Autumn gift bags to children in Truong Ha commune.
