Therefore, their Party committee and chain of command have prioritized cultivating relationships with locals. Through dedication, the unit’s officers and soldiers have joined local leaders and residents in advancing the development and safety of the area.

As part of the movement to build new-style rural areas, Brigade 16 has contributed to building many practical local works. Every year, the brigade's troops contribute thousands of working hours, working alongside residents to build and repair roads, dredge canals, and assist locals in other public activities. During holidays, the brigade also visits and provides gifts to families in need, and offers free medical check-ups and medicines.
