To cope with the situation, the Huong Khe district Military Command has mobilized more than 700 cadres, soldiers, and militiamen to help the local people, especially those in deeply submerged communes such as Phuong Dien, Phuong My, Huong Giang, Huong Thuy, Ha Linh, Gia Pho and Hoa Hai.
Accordingly, the troops in coordination with relevant forces presented gifts to disadvantaged households while instructing the locals to strictly follow situational developments.
* On the same day, the Quang Binh provincial Military Command sent over 200 soldiers and 600 militiamen to the scene to evacuate flood-hit people and their property to safer areas.
In addition, the command provided over 500 boxes of instant noodles and drinking water and 250 life jackets and life buoys to help people respond to the condition of prolonged rain and floods.
The prompt response of the province’s armed forces has contributed to minimizing losses in property and lives.
