The event attracted the participation of more than 100 officials, Youth Union members, and young people from 13 wards of Hai Chau district.

According to Senior Captain Le Anh Minh, Secretary of the Youth Union Organization of the Border Station of Da Nang Port Border Gate, participants engaged in various activities, including attending the flag-raising ceremony; visiting the office and accommodation of border troops; learning how to fold a set of blanket and mosquito net; observing the inspection and monitoring at the port border gate; and cleaning up beaches, to name but a few.

Meanwhile, the youths had the opportunity to learn about the daily life and duties of the border guard force, who are performing the task of protecting the sovereignty and security over maritime borders of the city. They were also trained to improve their self-reliance, discipline, bravery, and manners of military officers. The program helped participants enhance their social skills and heighten their spirit of honesty, responsibility, solidarity, creativity, and capability to care for their family, friends, and others. Additionally, many cultural and artistic exchanges took place where participants had a chance to learn traditional dances, dances in the military, among others.

Le Vien Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Chau district Youth Union Organization, shared that the program aimed to arouse the spirit of solidarity, patriotism, love for the military environment, and create new and meaningful playgrounds for Youth Union members and young people. Through the event, participants had a better understanding of the daily life of border soldiers in particular and troops in the whole military in general.
The event also aimed to raise awareness of young generations of national border, thereby contributing to building and safeguarding national sovereignty over sea, islands and border.
