* On July 21, Defense-Economic Unit 92, in association with Military Hospital 268 (Military Region 4), provided free medical examinations, health counseling, and medicines for 300 policy beneficiaries and presented gifts to 30 policy families and national contributors in Trung Son commune, A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province.

Meanwhile, the unit handed over a set of computer to the medical station Trung Son commune. 

On the occasion, the unit supported Dong Son commune and nearby localities in repairing and upgrading the heroes’  and martyrs’ monuments. Also, the unit popularized information concerning military policies for families of heroes and fallen soldiers ahead of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’  Day.

* On the same day, the Military Women Advisory Board and the Department of Political Affairs of Military Region 2 (MR2) co-held a program to pay gratitude and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Dien Bien province.

In detail, the organizing panel granted 50 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs’ relatives, and national contributors in the province.

Earlier, the Military Women Advisory Board and MR2’s Political Department offered incense and flowers in commemoration of heroes and fallen soldiers at the martyrs’ temples at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield and the A1 National War Cemetery.

* Army Corps 2’s Military School conducted many gratitude activities, presented gifts to its officers and staff who are children of wounded soldiers and martyrs.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Pham Huy Minh, Deputy Political Commissar of Army Corps 2’s Military School, expressed his deep gratitude to heroes, martyrs, and policy beneficiaries who made great contribution to the struggles for national independence and freedom, and the cause of national construction and defense.

Also, he hoped the unit’s staff who are children of wounded soldiers and martyrs continue promoting the good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and traditions of their families to build a comprehensively strong unit and accomplish all assigned missions.

On the occasion, the school organized many gratitude activities, including inquiring after and presenting gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Hoang Thi Soat, born in 1919 in Tay Le townlet, Xuong Lam commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province, granting 10 gift packages to needy policy beneficiaries, and calling for donations to the “Paying Gratitude” Fund.

In addition, the school’s Youth Union contributed 300 working days to repair the war cemeteries of Tan An and Nham Bien townlets and Lao Ho and Phi Mo communes.

The school also handed over 10 gifts to its military officials who are being treated in hospitals across the country and gave 26 gifts to officers who are children of wounded and fallen soldiers.
