* On July 17, the Youth Union Organization of the Military Medical University, in association with the Youth Union chapter of Vo Tranh commune (Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province), co-organized a root-returning program in the locality.

The program aimed to educate the university’s youths of patriotism, national pride, and good traditions of the university, contributing to promoting the traditions “When drinking water, remember its source,” paying gratitude to national contributors and caring for disadvantaged children.

In detail, the Youth Union chapter of the Military Medical University carried out many meaningful activities, including presenting gifts to needy children with excellent academic results, policy families, poor households, planting trees, cleaning and offering incense and flowers at Vo Tranh commune War Cemetery, to name but a few. These deeds strengthened the military-civilian solidarity.

At the program, leaders of the university handed over 10 bicycles to students from Vo Tranh Primary School in Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen, presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, national contributors and needy families in the locality.

* From July 15 to 17, the Youth Union Organization of Ho Chi Minh City conducted gratitude activities in Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27).

Particularly, HCM City’s youths offered incense at the memorial steles for heroic martyrs, revolutionary soldiers, and patriotic people who sacrificed in Con Dao, inquired after families of former political prisoners, policy beneficiaries, and wounded soldiers in the locality.

Also, the city’s youths participated in the candle lighting ceremony at Hang Duong Cemetery and cleaned the environment surrounding the cemetery.
