Coast Guard Region 3 Command conducts mass mobilization activities

Within the framework of the program, the command disseminated the Law on Fisheries, the Law on the Viet Nam Coast Guard, and regulations on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing for 150 vessel owners, captains, and fishermen. The command also organized a signing ceremony at which vessel owners and captains pledged to strictly abide by the law and prevent IUU fishing violations.

At the event, the organizing board presented 40 gift packages and 200 national flags and distributed 400 leaflets and handbooks on IUU prevention and control to participants.

At the same time, the command coordinated with local authorities, mass organizations in Phuoc Thang ward, and local forces to launch the "Green Sunday" campaign. Joining the program, nearly 200 officers and soldiers from Coast Guard Region 3, together with local Youth Union members, collected and sorted nearly three tons of waste, cleared brush, and cleaned up the coastal environment, public areas, and four roads in the locality.

This is a regular activity maintained by the unit, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility among coast guard officers, soldiers, and fishermen regarding environmental protection and community healthcare, thereby strengthening the close bond between the military and people.
