Ho Chi Minh City’s authority conducts gratitude activities in Con Dao
PANO - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Wounded Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022), a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh municipal Party Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Council and the city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front have carried out numerous meaningful activities in Con Dao Island, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province recently.
The delegation has conducted a flag saluting ceremony, visits to Hang Duong and Hang Keo War Cemeteries, candle lighting and incense burning ceremonies to pay tribute to war heroes and martyrs. In addition, they have presented gifts to pay gratitude to former political prisoners, families of martyrs and wounded soldiers and revolutionary contributors in the locality, contributing to educating traditions and promoting patriotism among participants.
On the occasion, the city’s authority collaborated with relevant agencies to organize art programs, sports competitions to popularize the images of Con Dao Island as a famous tourist attraction of Vietnam.
