Authorized by leaders of the MND and the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), Deputy Head of the GDP’s Department of Policy-Social Affairs Sr. Col. Ngo Thi Le chaired the meeting.
In her welcoming remarks to the delegation, Sr. Col. Ngo Thi Le expressed deep gratitude for the immense contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and national contributors in the city.
Sr. Col. Ngo Thi Le said that in recent years, despite the locality’s vast area following administrative rearrangements, the high number of policy beneficiaries, and increasingly demanding tasks, Ho Chi Minh City’s leadership, armed forces, and people have always paid great attention to leading, directing, and effectively implementing policies for national contributors. The city has pro-actively mobilized social resources to take care of the material and spiritual lives of national contributors and promote the national tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and “Gratitude-paying activities.”
The meeting was an opportunity for officers and soldiers throughout the military to express their profound gratitude for the considerable contributions and sacrifices of predecessors, as well as to follow the patriotic spirit, resilient revolutionary will, and noble qualities of the national contributors.
Sr. Col. Ngo Thi Le highly valued the close coordination of local Party committees, authorities, and armed forces units in policy work and “Gratitude-paying activities.” She hoped that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs would continue to pay more attention to caring for national contributors, ensuring that policies are implemented fully and timely. She suggested the department coordinate to propose and effectively implement the “500-day campaign to step up the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains.” For the national contributors, she hoped they would continue to promote the glorious revolutionary traditions; serve as solid spiritual support for the younger generation; actively participate in building the Party, authorities, and the great national unity bloc; and educate younger generations on patriotic and national traditions.

On behalf of the delegation, comrade Pham Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, expressed his joy at visiting Hanoi city to attend the meaningful meeting. In particular, the delegation was warmly received and presented with gifts by the MND. In the coming period, Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations at all levels of the city will continue to take care of and ensure full policy implementation for national contributors.
On this occasion, authorized by leaders of the MND and the GDP, Sr. Col. Ngo Thi Le presented 84 gifts from the MND to national contributors from Ho Chi Minh City.
