Local needy people supported to build new houses
PANO – Flotilla 129 of the Saigon Newport Corporation in coordination with the Information and Education Commissions of Hau Giang and Binh Duong provinces, held a program to disseminate information about national seas and islands, and give financial support to build gratitude houses for needy households in the two provinces.
At Luong Tam Secondary School in Long My district, Hau Giang province, and Le Loi High School in Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province, Flotilla 129 provided basic knowledge about national seas and islands, as well as the construction, development and glorious victories of the Vietnam People's Navy. The delegation also presented 30 bicycles to needy students in these schools.

On this occasion, the Saigon Newport Corporation donated VND 80 million to build gratitude houses for needy families in the two provinces.
These activities aimed to implement social security policies, and take care of local national contributors and policy beneficiaries.
* On October 3, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction of 10 houses for people in need in Van Khanh commune, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province.
The houses were built with the sponsorship of the Saigon Thuong Tin Bank (VND 500 million). Ton Hoa Sen Group also donated 2,000m2 of cold-rolled steel, worth 260 million VND; other individuals and organizations supported VND 200 million. The total cost of the construction of each house was VND 96 million.
This is an annual activity to ensure social security, reduce poverty and support for poor households.
Reportedly, the province has called upon sponsors to build 35 gratitude houses for local families in need. It hopes to raise the number of houses in this program to 100 before the coming Lunar New Year.
