Kindergarten in border commune of Ia Dal inaugurated
PANO - The Committee for Population, Family and Children (CPFC) of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), in association with Army Corps 15, on January 28 held a ceremony to inaugurate the Team 8’s school point of Kindergarten 4-3 of Branch 716, Army Corp 15 in hamlet 5, Ia Dal commune, Ia H’Dra district, Kon Tum province.
The construction of Team 8’s school point costs VND 1 billion, extracted from the MOD’s 2018 Children Protection Fund. The 220sq.m project, including a bedroom, classroom and kitchen was completed after three months of construction.
Kindergarten 4-3 of Branch 716 now comprises 11 school points for kindergarten and pre-school education. The Team 8’s school point in Ia Dal commune, Ia H’Dra district enrolls 52 children aged from 6 months old to 5 years old.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Committee for Population, Family and Children (CPFC) of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), the Military Women's Board, the General Department of Defense Industry, and Vietnam Lottery One-member Limited Liability Company (Vietlott), also presented Tet gifts, toys, and school equipment, worth more than VND 200 million, to students in the school point.
Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Le Van Hoang, Political Commissar of the MOD’s General Department of Logistics, deputy head of the CPFC affirmed that over the past year, the MND and the CPFC have paid attention to childcare, education and protection, especially for needy children in remote areas. The project contributes to building a prosperous border area, and ensuring border security, he added.
