Flotilla 129 joins “Green March” volunteer campaign
PANO - On June 8, in Phuoc Hai township, Long Dat district, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, the Youth Unionn chapter of Flotilla 129 under the Naval Service took part in the “Green March” volunteer campaign 2025 organized by the Youth Union Organization of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

During the campaign, the Youth Union members of Flotilla 129 focused on several key activities, including building new-style rural areas and civilized cities, protecting the environment, responding to climate change, and raising public awareness of maritime sovereignty and illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing practices. They also joined efforts in cleaning and renovating local memorial sites.
Notably, Flotilla 129’s youths continued to effectively implement the programs “The Vietnam People’s Navy – A staunch support for fishermen at sea” and “The naval force assists fishermen’s children.” On this occasion, they also visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, war veterans, Youth Union members of the armed forces, and disadvantaged children.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, Flotilla 129’s youths joined local Youth Union members and youngsters in a beach clean-up in Phuoc Hai township. They also presented practical gifts to local fishermen, including 50 life jackets and 100 national flags.
