Frigate 015-Tran Hung Dao leaves for visits to China and the Philippines

The delegation is led by Senior Captain Do Minh, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 4 of the Vietnam People's Navy.

According to the plan, the delegation and crew-members will visit and hold exchanges with the Chinese People's Liberation Army Southern Theater Command in Guangzhou (Guangdong province) before continuing to Manila for similar activities with the Philippine Navy.

The mission also provides an opportunity for the ship's officers and sailors to strengthen command and coordination capabilities, improve proficiency in operating weapons and technical equipment, and enhance their ability to respond to situations at sea. 

Sr. Capt. Bui Van Ben, Political Commissar of Naval Region 4, said the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Naval Region 4 regard the voyage as an important mission that helps implement the latest shared understandings in Vietnam's relations with China and the Philippines. He noted that the region had made thorough preparations to ensure the success of the mission.
