To accelerate the construction projects, the Military Region 1 Command has deployed hundreds of troops to work alongside contractors despite difficult terrain and harsh weather.
At construction sites in Ha Lang, Phuc Hoa and Duc Long communes, soldiers transported materials, assisted with construction and worked through heat, rain and muddy conditions.
Corporal Ha Quoc Doan from Company 9, Battalion 9, Regiment 141, Division 3, said that although the work is demanding, his comrades and he are determined to complete their mission so that the new school can soon welcome students.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Truong, Deputy Head of Regiment 141, Division 3, said his unit regards the mission an important political task and troops have overcome challenges in weather, terrain and living conditions to keep construction on schedule.

At the Quang Han school in Quang Han commune, persistent rain and weak soil conditions have complicated site preparation and delayed some construction phases.
Noting that building boarding schools in Cao Bang province is both a responsibility and an honor, Lieutenant General La Cong Phuong, Political Commissar of Military Region 1, emphasized that additional troops have been deployed to help speed up progress.
Building schools, strengthening military-civilian bonds
Among participating troops, many young ones are taking part in such a major construction project for the first time.
Corporal Le Quang Hai from Company 2, Battalion 1, Regiment 2, Division 3, said the mission is special because the schools will directly help improve the education of thousands of students in mountainous border communities.

Leading a team in a school project, Captain Nguyen Anh Tu, Head of Platoon 3, Company 1, Battalion 1, Regiment 2, Division 3, a native of Cao Bang, said that his engagement was significant since he had a chance to contribute to his hometown.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Quang Loc, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 2, Division 3, the campaign helps troops carry forward the military's good traditions of serving the people while strengthening military-civilian ties.
In other border communes across Cao Bang province, troops under Military Region 1 are joining hands to accelerate project timelines.

During visits to some construction sites, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To praised participating troops and construction teams for their sense of responsibility and determination. He urged them to continue close coordination and ensure construction quality, safety and timely completion.
Once completed, the schools will significantly help improve learning and living conditions for ethnic students, providing better educational opportunities for younger generations in border areas.
