Six fishermen on board quickly jumped into the sea and were promptly rescued by a trawler fishing nearby. Receiving the information, the Trieu Van Border Post of the Quang Tri provincial Border Guard Command mobilized ships operating near the trouble trawler to support them, and sent a medical team to take care of the victims.

They are in stable health conditions.

In addition, fishermen Nguyen Ngoc Ha, born in 1984 from Quang Phuc commune, who was a crew-member of trawler QB 98614 TS, visited the Border Port of Gianh port Border Gate and informed that he was rescued by a trawler from Nghe An province. He was then provided with first aid.
Earlier, from May 1 to 3, four trawlers from Quang Binh province had an accident due to thunderstorms, of which three trawlers sank, one lost contact. The Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command, together with local authorities, functional units, and trawlers operating at sea, searched and rescued 13 fishermen, and fished a dead body. Currently, they are searching for 10 missing victims, including six crew-members on trawler QB 92699 TS and four crew-members on trawler QB 98614 TS.
