During the visits, General Giang congratulated Thai Nguyen province on its achievements in recent years. The province's economy has grown rapidly, and despite facing many challenges in 2024 such as the pandemic, natural disasters, and complex weather patterns, with the active direction from local leaders, the efforts of the authorities at all levels, and the support of people, Thai Nguyen has met its objectives and made significant progress in various socio-economic fields. In 2024, the province's budget revenue reached over VND 20.4 trillion, achieving 126.6% of the target set by the Prime Minister. Social welfare, national defense, and security were strengthened.

General Giang acknowledged that Thai Nguyen's development success is attributed to many factors, including the province's breakthrough decisions, such as focusing on infrastructure development that promotes regional connectivity, improving the investment environment, accelerating administrative reforms, and enhancing human resource development.

Talking about the results of the military’s performance in 2024, the Defense Minister affirmed that under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, the whole military completed all tasks efficiently and comprehensively. The entire military demonstrated unity and readiness to carry out all assigned duties; maintained high combat readiness, kept track of situational developments, and provided timely advice to the Party and State on effectively handling situations to safeguard national sovereignty and security, ensuring peace and order across the country.
The military also played a crucial role in disaster relief, rescue missions, and adjusting the organization of forces strictly, scientifically and according to the road-map. In 2024, the Ministry of National Defense successfully organized the Vietnam Defense Expo and various activities, including the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day, leaving a lasting impression on the leaders, the people, and international friends.

The Defense Minister expressed confidence that the achievements of Thai Nguyen in 2024 would provide a strong impetus for the province to thrive in 2025, achieving even greater success and fully realizing the objectives set out in the resolutions of party congress at all levels for the 2020-2025 term and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. He urged the locality to focus on improving the care for policy beneficiaries, revolutionary contributors, the poor, especially during the Tet holiday.
On the occasion of Tet 2025, the defense leader, on behalf of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense, extended the best wishes to the Party Committee, authorities, armed forces, and people of Thai Nguyen province, wishing them a joyful, safe, and economical Tet. He also encouraged the province to achieve more significant results to mark the 95th anniversary of the foundation day of the Communist Party of Vietnam and prepare for the upcoming party congress at all levels for the term 2025-2030.

During his visit to the Military Region 1 Command, General Giang commended its achievements in 2024 and urged the military region’s leadership to further strengthen unity and cooperation to ensure that all military and defense tasks for 2025 are successfully completed; maintain strict combat readiness during Tet.
He requested Military Region 1 to actively respond to the Prime Minister's campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and ensure that Tet is well-organized for policy beneficiaries, ethnic minorities, and people in remote and disadvantaged areas. These efforts are to boost the bond between the military and people.
In addition, the Party Organization of Military Region 1 should thoroughly prepare for the upcoming party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, and successfully organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the region’s military forces.
