At the event, VAVA President Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Rinh briefed the mission upon the association’s outstanding achievements over the past time. Particularly, VAVA Central Committee has given recommendations to organize the action month for victims of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin; worked with functional agencies to carry out policies for those engaging in national resistance wars exposed to toxic chemicals and lost their papers and other AO victims.

In his speech, Gen. Chien expressed gratitude to VAVA, and applauded its efforts and outcomes. He wished the association’s staff and their families good health, relief from pains, integration into community, and rise in life.

Presenting gifts to VAVA

Commenting on VAVA Central Committee’s proposals, Gen. Chien said that the Central Military Commission always supports the association’s activities.

He wished the association to continue to disseminate information, develop programs to attract more domestic and international resources, individuals and organizations to help ease pains of AO victims.

On the occasion, Gen. Chien handed over gifts from the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense to VAVA.
