The figure was revealed at a conference held on January 21 by the Command to review their performance of “Quang Trung Campaign” under the chair of its Deputy Head and Chief of Staff Senior Colonel Tran Quang Chanh.
Realizing higher level directives, the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee urgently launched “Quang Trung Campaign,” mobilizing more than 500 officers and soldiers together with militia personnel to build and repair 11 houses in Dak Lak province and 275 houses in Da Nang city.
Despite unfavorable weather conditions, long distances for materials transportation, and difficult terrain, participating forces worked tirelessly day and night, over weekends, holidays, including New Year holiday, determined to complete each “house of gratitude,” ensuring the highest quality and progress, completing the task ahead of schedule.
During the campaign, the Command supported local residents with nearly VND 600 million and presented households with hundreds of essential items, helping them quickly stabilize their daily lives and gradually improve their quality of life in new houses.
The completion of the campaign not only carried practical significance in helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, but also clearly demonstrated the sentiments and responsibility of the Da Nang municipal armed forces toward local residents, spreading the good images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers who always stand side by side with the people and are promptly present in the most difficult places.
The Command will continue to carry out social welfare activities, thereby strengthening people’s heart posture, building strong localities, and helping people feel secure in stabilizing their lives.

The Command proposed the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 5, and the Da Nang City People’s Committee to commend many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements. It awarded 17 collectives and individuals with excellent performance during the campaign.
