Presenting gifts to needy families in Vinh Xuan and Phu Yen communes, Phu Van district

In the program, the units presented 80 gifts, each worth VND 500,000, to local families facing hard living conditions and being affected by natural disasters. They also granted 10 “Paving the way to school for students” scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to disadvantaged students and orphans.

The same day, at Hong Thai open path in A Luoi district, Nham Border Post under the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command in cooperation with the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s A Luoi district chapter handed over 2 tons of rice, 200 boxes of instant noodles, 500 kilograms of salt, and other necessities to the authorities and people of Se Sap village, Ka Lum district, Laos’ Sekong province.

These activities not only showed sharing and gave practical support to needy families in border areas, but also contributed to promoting cooperation and tightening Vietnam-Laos special friendship.

This was part of a wide range of meaningful activities towards the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024), the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024), and 60th anniversary of the foundation of Thua Thien Hue Border Guard Force (December 15, 1964 - 2024).
