Therefore, military units along borderlines have actively conducted information dissemination activities to encourage local people to strictly observe border regulations, prevent and control illegal entry and exit, and ensure security and order in the locality.
In Trinh Tuong commune, Trinh Tuong Border Post under the Lao Cai provincial Border Guard Command has strengthened border inspection and management, enhanced dissemination work, and distributed leaflets to local people to raise their awareness of law observance.

Major Tan Sanh Nhan from Trinh Tuong Border Post shared that since the beginning of this year, the unit has teamed up with the local authority to mobilize all households to sign the commitment document to fight against illegal immigration, denounce different kinds of crimes, especially not to illegally cross the border to work, to name but a few.
According to Secretary of the Party cell of Pho Moi 1 village, Trinh Tuong commune, Bat Xat district, over the past time, the border guards, together with functional agencies, have actively boosted information dissemination via various forms to ensure security and order in border areas and prevent and control epidemics. Through dissemination activities, local people have properly understood and strictly complied with border regulations.
In Thu Lum commune, officers and soldiers of Thu Lum Border Post under the Lai Chau provincial Border Guard Command, have come to each house in villages to popularize information to local people, thereby raising their awareness of law observance and illegal immigration prevention and control.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Chuc, Political Commissar of Thu Lum Border Post, said that over the past time, the unit has promoted information dissemination work about the observance of border regulations among local people and encouraged them to sign the commitment document not to illegally enter and exit the border, and destroy border protection fences.
In order to control illegal entry and exit, the Border Guard Commands of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces have required their units to closely follow situations, well manage exit and entry of Vietnamese citizens, with a focus on areas, including side border gates and open paths, etc. Meanwhile, the commands have coordinated with local authorities to carry out dissemination activities concerning the Vietnam Border Guard Law, the Immigration Law, and the Law on Residence among locals in communes, wards, and villages, particularly in border areas. Until the end of this year, the units have strengthened external affairs, enhanced information exchange with the neighboring countries’ border protection forces to discuss cooperation contents in epidemic prevention and control, as well as illegal exit and entry prevention.
