229 houses to be handed over to residents in Dak Lak on January 10
PANO - As many as 229 houses built under the Quang Trung Campaign by military units will be handed over to residents across Dak Lak province on January 10 as part of the second phase of housing handover.
The figure was revealed during an inspection visit on January 7 of a delegation of the Search and Rescue Department under the General Staff, led by Senior Colonel Pham Hung, Deputy Head of the Disaster Prevention Division, to officers and soldiers of units under the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5, who are building houses for local people under the Quang Trung Campaign in Hoa Thinh commune, Dak Lak province.

Having inspected and reviewed the progress of housing construction for households under the campaign by units including Division 315; the Department of Logistics and Technical Services under Military Region 5; Commando Brigade 198; Brigade 368; and Brigade 280, Senior Colonel Pham Hung highly appreciated their sense of responsibility and efforts of participating officers and soldiers.
He noted their timely support for local authorities and residents in effectively implementing social welfare policies, as well as their effective deployment to dredge intra-field canals to help people prepare in time for the Winter-Spring crop.

So far, in Dak Lak province, the first phase has seen the handover of 102 new houses to households. Military Region 5 has supported each recipient with one electric rice cooker and one wooden bed.
In addition, units under the Ministry of National Defense and affiliates of Military Region 5 have provided other essential support to the households.
