Upgradation of Can Tho Airport completed
PANO - The Ministry of National Defense (MND), on April 25, held a meeting to finalize and hand over the Can Tho Airport upgradation project under the chair of Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
The Air Defense-Air Force service was entrusted to managing the project. The project, costing VND 817 billion, was to upgrade the runway and apron, air traffic control and pre-flight section, aviation technique section, warehouse and office buildings.
According to the project management board, the project was completed six months ahead of the deadline, while meeting all the requirements in terms of engineering, arts, and strictly following the investment procedures.
Gen. Tran Don appreciated and praised the efforts as well as determination of the involved units. Gen. Tran Don requested, in the coming time, the involved units to finish the related legal procedures and seriously observe steps of post-handover maintenance and warranty, while the project recipient unit should well preserve, manage and effectively exploit the newly-upgraded facilities.
