Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the monument.

The construction of the project was started in early March this year with the total investment of nearly VND 215 million donated by the border post.

The bust “Uncle Ho and border guards” is adapted by Vu Trong Khoi’s “Following the nation” sculpture. It features Uncle Ho asking a border guard to be determined to defend the country and the border guard attentively listening to each word of the state leader.

The “Uncle Ho and border guards” monument holds profound educational significance. It is a venue for the unit’s troops to report their achievements to Uncle Ho and reminds each officer and soldier of promoting solidarity, determination to overcome all difficulties to firmly safeguard the nation’s territorial sovereignty and border security, maintain political security, public order and safety and build the border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
