After more than three months of construction, the monument was complete and placed at the compound of Ia Rve Border Station. The monument is made of natural stone, with the weight of 4.5 tons, the height of 1, 79m, the length of 1.25m, and the width of 0.99m. It is sculptured based on Vu Trong Khoi’s “Following the nation” work showing the image of Uncle Ho caringly giving instructions to a border guard. The project is built with a total investment of nearly VND 400 million.

* On the same day, at Ia Rve commune People’s Committee, Yok M’re border station, a volunteer group of Go Vap district (Ho Chi Minh City), and local authorities jointly presented 170 gifts, 100 school bags, and 1,000 notebooks to ethnic minority students with difficult conditions in the locality.

* In Krong Na commune (Buon Don district), Yok Don Border Station collaborated with Hong Thien My Medical Equipment JSC and a club of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology to organize a program for children in border areas.

In detail, the organizing panel handed over 100 gifts to needy households, gave 1,400 gift packages to preschoolers as well as primary and secondary students in the locality.
