The conference was attended by Major General Tran Quoc Viet, Director of Military Hospital 175; Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thang, VNDPKO Director; and Major General Trinh Ngoc Giao, Deputy Director of the Department of Military Forces.

Over the past time, the training for L2FH Rotation 5's participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations has been successfully completed, meeting 95 standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required by the U.N. The L2FH Rotation 5 has completed training in medical expertise following the program approved by the Chief of the General Staff of the Ministry of National Defense. In addition, it has effectively ensured training in emergency and trauma care, dissemination of medical support handbooks in U.N. peacekeeping operations, development and implementation of experimental surgical programs, and the pandemic prevention and control.

Regarding peacekeeping expertise training, Military Hospital 175, in collaboration with the VNDPKO and foreign partners, have completed training courses to enhance medical expertise, in-depth knowledge on U.N. peacekeeping missions for the staff of the L2FH Rotation 5. The VNDPKO has also conducted pre-deployment training, comprehensive field exercises, and outdoor survival skills training for the hospital.

Furthermore, 100 percent of the officers and staff of the L2FH Rotation 5 have been provided with foreign language training as required. At the same time, they received training in soft skills, communications skills, and supplementary medical English courses... Members from the L2FH Rotation 1 and L2FH Rotation 3 also shared experience with the staff of the L2FH Rotation 5.

The L2FH Rotation 5 under Military Hospital 175 has been transferred to the VNDPKO, including all of its components, functions, tasks, and equipment. The VNDPKO now directly manages and directs the hospital. Military Hospital 175 will provide the field hospital with professional guidance and exchanges when the hospital assumes duties at the U.N. Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan highly appreciated the units' close coordination in organizing the training in all aspects for the L2FH Rotation 5. All of the hospital’s members have high expertise skills, a professional working attitude, good command of English, meeting the requirements of the U.N. At the same time, the staff of the L2FH Rotation 5 were required to adhere to and strictly implement the Party's foreign policy, State laws, military discipline; always stay united, care for and support each other in all tasks. The hospital's personnel must promote traditions, actively beautify the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers at the UNMISS.

Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan requested Military Hospital 175 to continue to pay attention to and coordinate with relevant agencies to prepare all aspects for the L2FH Rotation 5, especially in professional expertise. He asked the VNDPKO to assign specific tasks to the L2FH Rotation 5 to ensure the completion of its duties and required relevant agencies to continue to pay attention to families of the hospital’s members, providing support for the hospital’s staff to promote their enthusiasm in carrying out international missions in the time to come.
