At the Hung Yen Provincial Military Command, General Chien acknowledged and commended the achievements of its officers and soldiers. He noted that the provincial armed forces have effectively fulfilled their core role by closely coordinating with Party committees, local authorities, and other forces, thereby helping maintain political stability and social order while creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development. The command and its subordinate units have implemented military and defense tasks in a synchronous and effective manner, meeting task requirements in the new context.
The deputy defense minister emphasized the need for the unit to continue thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing resolutions and directives of the Party, the CMC, and MND. He underscored the importance of rigorously carrying out the policy of assigning regular military officers to hold positions at commune-level military commands. The unit was also tasked with maintaining strict combat readiness, closely monitoring the local situation, and strengthening coordination with relevant forces to promptly advise local Party committees and authorities on effectively handling emerging issues, particularly in the periods before, during, and after the 14th National Party Congress and the Lunar New Year 2026.

General Chien also stressed the importance of caring for service members’ living conditions and effectively implementing policies for beneficiaries. He requested that the provincial Military Command closely coordinate with relevant agencies to carefully prepare activities to support officers, soldiers, policy beneficiaries, and local residents during the Lunar New Year, ensuring that everyone can welcome the New Year in a joyful, warm, and safe atmosphere.
The delegation then visited and inspected the Northern Task Force for Drug and Crime Prevention and Control under the Vietnam Border Guard Command’s Department of Drug and Crime Prevention. Commending the unit’s pro-active, resourceful, and courageous efforts in combating drug-related crimes, the defense leader affirmed that its achievements have made an important contribution to maintaining security, order, and social safety. He called on the unit to continue upholding its traditions, enhancing its sense of responsibility, and pro-actively coordinating with police forces and local Party committees and authorities in preventing, investigating, and cracking down on drug-related and other crimes.
In preparation for upcoming tasks, especially those related to the 14th National Party Congress and the Lunar New Year, the deputy minister required the unit to strictly maintain discipline and order, heighten vigilance, and ensure absolute safety for major political events. At the same time, the unit was urged to pro-actively advise and coordinate with local authorities in implementing measures to ensure a safe and healthy Spring Festival for the public.

At the Hung Yen Provincial Border Guard Command, General Chien praised the unit’s efforts over the past year. He affirmed that the provincial Border Guard has overcome difficulties, closely coordinated with local authorities and relevant forces, and successfully fulfilled tasks related to managing and protecting sovereignty and security, combating crime, and maintaining political stability, contributing to a favorable environment for investment and socio-economic development.
For the time ahead, he requested continued close coordination with military and police forces, pro-active monitoring of the situation, timely handling of complex developments, and thorough preparations for activities marking the 14th National Party Congress and the Lunar New Year, ensuring security, order, and safety in all circumstances.
