At the event, participants agreed that in March, agencies and units seriously studied and implemented the Resolution of the second plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee and newly-issued strategic resolutions of the Politburo.
They closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to intensify information dissemination about the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and people’s councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Especially, the entire military ensured that all officers and soldiers participated in the election with high political responsibility, in accordance with regulations and in a safe and democratic manner.
In addition, military press agencies continued to play a core role on the ideological and cultural front, promptly and effectively covered major events of the Party, State, and military. Mass mobilization, policy and social security work, and activities of mass organizations were carried out orderly and effectively.
In his concluding speech, Gen. Nghia applauded agencies and units for their close following of situational developments, and effective direction and guide for the whole military to complete Party and political work tasks.
Regarding key tasks for April, the GDP chief asked for continued implementation of Party and political work in line with training and combat readiness tasks; and timely provision of information, communications, and ideological orientation on new, complex, and sensitive issues of concern to troops and the public.
He also requested agencies and units to boost emulation movements in a continuous and substantive manner to motivate excellent political task fulfilment.
He also emphasized strengthening internal political protection, advancing digital transformation and technology application associated with data security in all situations and across all fields, and coordinating to ensure security and safety for activities of Party, State and military leaders, with priority given to the first session of the 16th National Assembly.
Other key tasks include enhancement of quality of Party and political work in combat readiness, training, regularity building, and discipline observance; drawing lessons from Party and political work in local military organizations; strengthening regularity building; and continued improvement of regulations on functions, tasks, authority, working relationship, and responsibilities of commanders at all levels.

At the meeting, Gen. Nghia handed over the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order, the Third-class Labor Order, the Government’s emulation flag, and certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to outstanding collectives and individuals in recognition of their excellent task performance.
Merit certificates from the Minister of National Defense and the GDP Chief were also presented to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
