Visitors at the exhibition

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Tuan Bao stressed the significance of reading. He said that books provide people with knowledge of all aspects of life, help people understand the past, present and future, and contribute to forming personalities of each serviceman.

He affirmed that affiliated units of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command have implemented numerous measures to promote reading habits among troops. However, it is not easy to form reading habits due to impacts of technologies. Therefore, activities within the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2022 are expected to help boost the reading habits in units.

Under the theme of “Book, desire and dedication,” the exhibition features over 2,000 different books with a variety of topics such as President Ho Chi Minh, Dien Bien Phu Victory, the cultures of Vietnamese ethnic groups, the military youth, and so on.
