Ship CSB 8003 ready to depart for its mission

Major General Tran Van Tho urged the troops aboard Ship CSB 8003 to uphold their determination, overcome harsh weather conditions, and perform their duties far from home with excellence. These include maintaining combat readiness, patrolling, inspecting, controlling, and combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, as well as being prepared for search and rescue operations.

The Commander emphasized that Tet festival is a sensitive time when unexpected situations may arise. Therefore, the ship’s crew-members must maintain vigilance, enhance sea surveillance, ensure robust communication, and promptly report to the Command’s headquarters for timely and effective responses to any scenarios. This will contribute to safeguarding the sovereignty, security, and order at sea, as well as ensuring a peaceful Tet onshore.

Captain Nguyen Van Thanh, the ship’s commanding officer, expressed gratitude on behalf of the crew for the all-level leadership’s care. He affirmed that Ship CSB 8003 has carried out numerous Tet missions at sea in the past, and the crew remains steadfast and mentally prepared. With all preparations completed, the ship is ready to depart and determined to fulfill its mission successfully.

Before the ship’s departure, the Coast Guard Region 1 Command and Flotilla 11 presented Tet gifts to crew-members aboard Ship CSB 8003.
