The series will consist of 20 episodes, each lasting 25 minutes, and is expected to premiere on VTV1 in early December 2026. “The Sun Never Sets” focuses on two specialized forces, the coast guard and commando forces. Although they differ in their operating environments, combat methods, and professional expertise, both are integral components of the unified Viet Nam People’s Army. Whether operating on the front lines at sea or carrying out discreet missions, personnel from both forces embody the qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new era: loyalty, courage, humanity, and dedication to the people. The series also affirms that regardless of their force or operational front, they share the same oath and mission of defending the Fatherland and protect the people.
