The “Timeless” is a special film project marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 – 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989 – 2024). As a joint project of the GDP and VTV, the film vividly portrays the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in both wartime and peacetime. It aired at 9:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday on VTV1 channel (Vietnam Television), starting from November 25, 2024. After completing its run on March 14, 2025, the 60-episode series left a profound and deeply emotional impact on audiences.

According to VTV statistics, the “Timeless Dedication” consistently ranked among the highest-rated programs each week during its broadcast. On social media, the film generated widespread engagement, receiving numerous positive comments regarding its storyline, acting, and cinematography. Across VTV-managed digital platforms, the film garnered an estimated 700 million views and interactions, with numerous short clips reaching millions of views. Following the finale on the evening of March 14, social media platforms were flooded with comments expressing pride and emotion over the realistic depictions of military personnel. Many viewers regarded the “Timeless Dedication” as one of the most captivating military-themed dramas in recent years. At the 42nd National Television Festival, the film won the Gold Award for Best Television Series, while main actor Manh Truong, who portrayed Lieutenant Colonel Le Nguyen Dai, received the Gold Award for Best Actor.
Speaking at the summary conference, General Phan Van Giang emphasized that the 60 episodes of the “Timeless Dedication” offered audiences an exceptional television production filled with a range of emotions. As a special project commemorating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the VPA and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day, the film was meticulously planned and developed, featuring a carefully selected team of professional and talented producers, artists, and actors. Their dedication enabled them to overcome numerous challenges to create an outstanding work of art.
General Phan Van Giang was particularly impressed by the “Timeless Dedication” title, noting that it encapsulates the essence of VPA personnel fulfilling their duties at any time and in any place. He praised the film for its authentic portrayal of "Uncle Ho’s Soldiers," seamlessly bridging history and the present. Despite its political theme, the script, structure, and storytelling approach made it highly engaging. The film skillfully intertwined past and present narratives, depicting the journey of two generations—a father and son, both soldiers.
The defense minister tasked the GDP with continuing close collaboration with VTV in future media initiatives. He instructed military units to facilitate the work of VTV production teams, journalists, and editors in creating military and defense-related content. He also encouraged the production of more television dramas about "Uncle Ho’s Soldiers" and the VPA to further promote their honorable image in the current context.
On this occasion, Minister Giang presented Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of National Defense to groups and individuals who made outstanding contribution to the production of the “Timeless Dedication.” Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Chief of the GDP, also awarded Certificates of Merit of the GDP to other distinguished participants.
