After the release of the first three episodes, the film was highly praised by audiences in Cuba and Vietnam. Following the success of the three episodes, in 2024, the Department of Political Education and Information under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People's Army and the Military Broadcasting Center continued to work closely with the Cuban counterpart to produce episodes 4 and 5.

Gen. Ton noted that a video clip on social media, which has been viewed by millions, features Three-star General Álvaro López Miera, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Cuba and Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, proudly introducing his wife’s involvement in the production of the documentary at the end of 2024 in Hanoi. He also emphasized that Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh, former Deputy Minister of National Defense of Vietnam and advisor of the film, was considered his brother.

The stories in the film have touched the hearts of viewers, reflecting a friendship based on mutual respect, sharing, and immeasurable sacrifices. Through filming trips and special interviews in both Cuba and Vietnam, the film crew aimed to bring moments that not only recall a beautiful past but also reinforce a belief in the future and the enduring Vietnam-Cuba relations.
According to the Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, the film is seen as a special historical legacy of traditional solidarity and special friendship between Cuba and Vietnam. He also emphasized Cuba’s recognition of the contribution made by Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh to the making of the film.

On the occasion, the ambassador handed over an insignia to Major General Nguyen Kim Ton on the "Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year" (2025) and a medal to Colonel Román Osvaldo Jiménez Ortega, Cuban military, naval and air attaché to Vietnam, for his great contribution to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba.
