During the event, Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army, briefed delegates on the collaboration outcomes of information dissemination on the military’s defense missions in 2022. He highlighted the support of various organizations, including the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, and central and local press agencies, to the Ministry of National Defense over time.

Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet stressed that the work of the press agencies has made a significant contribution to providing timely and accurate information about the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on military-defense affairs and military building in the current context. He added that this work helped to improve solidarity and consensus in the whole Party, military, and people in the national construction and defense cause, while also enhancing the country and the military's prestige. Additionally, the press agencies have increased the duration of their specialized programs, contributing to highlighting the images, traditions, and good virtues of the Vietnam People’s Army and Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context.
Representatives of press agencies expressed their gratitude towards the Ministry of National Defense for directing its units to provide timely and accurate information to help improve the quality of news programs on military-defense tasks. They expressed their desire for the military and press agencies to collaborate more effectively in the future to provide adequate information on military-defense tasks, contributing to orienting public opinion and fighting against wrongful viewpoints of hostile forces.
Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, highly appreciated the press agencies, including the People's Army Newspaper, for their efforts in innovating news content and format and presenting adequate information to readers, which had created a positive impact among the community. He requested the press agencies to provide information comprehensively and with focuses, while continuing to enhance creativity, promote intelligence, enthusiasm, and responsibility, and constantly improve the quality of information dissemination on military-defense tasks.

On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense, Minister General Phan Van Giang expressed his gratitude to the central and local press agencies for accompanying the military's activities and effectively reflecting the results of performing military-defense and defense external affairs tasks. He noted that this had contributed to building the whole-people's defense posture and the military in the new situation.

General Phan Van Giang affirmed the positive effects and far-reaching influence of the news programs, especially those highlighting outstanding examples in training and combat readiness, troops' activities in overcoming natural disasters, the Vietnam People's Army's contribution to bilateral and multilateral forums, participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations, rescue and relief efforts in Turkey, and cooperation in post-war recovery. He hoped that the press agencies would continue to collaborate well with the Ministry of National Defense in the future.
