National Defense Academy delegation visits Commando Brigade 198

Prior to the demonstration, the National Defense Academy delegation watched a film about the history of commando troops and the 50 years of development of Commando Brigade 198. Over the past time, Brigade 198 has achieved numerous excellent accomplishments, particularly during the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and in the period from 1994 to present when the unit returned to its stationed area in the Central - Central Highlands region.

In recent years, Commando Brigade 198 has not only focused on training and maintaining discipline and high combat readiness but also excelled in mass mobilization, contributing to strengthening the whole-people's defense posture in line with the people's security posture in its stationed areas. The brigade has been entrusted with additional anti-terrorism tasks by higher authorities.

During the event, the instructors and students of the 95th refresher course watched Brigade 198 personnel perform various demonstrations, including camouflage techniques, anti-terrorism techniques, shooting techniques, commando combat martial arts, secret raid tactics, and anti-terrorism tactics.

Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Dao Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of the National Defense Academy, expressed thanks to the Commando Corps and the officers and soldiers of Commando Brigade 198 for thoroughly preparing the demonstration. He stressed that the event helped the 95th refresher course participants gain deeper insights into the commando troops and Commando Brigade 198.
