At the event, Director of the National Defense Academy Sr. Lt. Gen. Tran Viet Khoa briefed the defense minister on the unit’s task performance in 2021 and the implementation of its key missions for 2022. Accordingly, the academy’s Party Committee and Board of Directors have closely followed the leadership of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, deployed numerous timely and creative measures to fulfill their assigned tasks.
The academy has also focused on renewing their training contents and programs, improving professionalism of instructors, and adjusting schedule in accordance with the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, the academy has evaluated and accepted 24 scientific researches, including 4 ministerial level ones and 6 sector-level ones, and 195 documents. The combat readiness, regulatory building and military disciplines have been maintained, contributing to building a comprehensive strong academy.
Speaking at the event, General Giang acknowledged and praised the achievements of the academy over the past time. He stressed that the National Defense Academy has been an outstanding training establishment of the military in terms of renewing training contents and methods, contributing to improving educational quality and meeting task requirements in the current context.

The defense minister asked the school to continue embracing higher levels’ resolutions, especially the Resolution of the 8th plenary session of the 11th Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on fundamentally and comprehensively innovating education and training, and Resolution No.847-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on promoting virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and fighting individualism in the current context. On the other hand, the unit will improve capability in forecasting situations, providing recommendations for the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on military-defense strategies, contributing to safeguarding the national sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as maintaining a peaceful environment for the national construction and development cause.
General Giang required the academy to continue enhancing the leadership of Party organizations, improving capabilities of young instructors, promoting emulation drives, and maintaining regulatory building and military disciplines, contributing to building a comprehensively strong unit in the time to come.
