At the command post of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, delegates talked with crew-members of Ship CSB 2002 of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command and Ship CBS 6001 of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command through a Vinasat system. The two ships are respectively carrying out missions in the areas of Tho Chau Island of Kien Giang province and Phu Quy Island of Binh Thuan province. During the conversations, N.A. deputies inquired after the crew-members and encouraged them to overcome difficulties to fulfill missions assigned by the Party, State, and military.
Cao Thi Xuan, Vice President of the N.A.’s Ethnic Council and a deputy from Thanh Hoa province, and Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Dat, Commander of Military Region 9, acknowledged and highly appreciated the coast guard force’s achievements and feats-of-arm over the past time.
They believed that Vietnamese coast guards would bring into play qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, be a reliable support to fishermen to keep fishing at sea, and be ready to excellently fulfill assigned missions, thus firmly safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands.
