Army Corps 12 holds first Party congress

Speaking at the event after listening to the political report, General Nguyen Tan Cuong acknowledged and congratulated the Party Organization of Army Corps 12 on its obtained results. He urged the army corps to continue thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing the guidelines and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense, particularly the Resolution of 13th Party Central Committee's eighth plenum on the strategy to defend the Fatherland in the new situation, as well as other resolutions, strategies, and projects in the fields of military and defense, and Fatherland protection; resolutions of Party congresses at all levels; and the guidance given by General Secretary To Lam during his visit and working session with the army corps on August 5.

Agencies and units under Army Corps 12 must focus on improving the quality of training and combat readiness under all circumstances. Training must be conducted in a fundamental, practical, and solid manner, ensuring comprehensiveness, specialization, and close alignment with operational plans, adversary characteristics, battlefields, as well as both current and new weapons and equipment.

The defense leader urged the army corps to promote the application of science and technology to training and exercises; enhance night training, mobile training, and training under difficult and complex conditions; effectively direct the implementation of joint training among arms and services.
