The coast guard force has maintained combat readiness at all levels, particularly for regular and unexpected missions, and mobilized hundreds of boats to conduct missions at sea.
Vietnamese coast guard ships has detected and dealt with thousands of turns of foreign fishing vessels illegally enter the Vietnamese waters while saving six vehicles and 71 people in 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.
In addition, the coast guard troops have handled violations and disseminated information about illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing to fishermen.

N.A. Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong inquired after troops conducting missions on ships CSB 4036, CSB 2015, and CSB 4037 as well as fishermen of trawler QNg-96306TS operating at sea.
He acknowledged and praised the outcomes of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command in law enforcement, national security protection, safety maintenance at sea, and the implementation of the strategy for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s marine economy to 2030 with a vision to 2045.
Regarding the IUU fishing prevention, the N.A. vice chairman required the coast guard force to actively provide recommendations for the Ministry of National Defense and relevant sectors and localities in a bid to have the European Commission (E.C.)'s “yellow card” removed and the marine resources and environment protected.
N.A. agencies, according to their functions and competence, will continue to study and propose amendments and supplements to complete relevant mechanisms, contributing to creating favorable conditions for the coast guard force to fulfill its assigned tasks.
