Since early this April, under the direct leadership of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, the aforementioned force has handled 35 cases, arrested 87 legal violators, and seized a number of heroin, thousands of tablets of synthetic drugs and other exhibits while ensuring absolute safety of the force’s personnel and equipment.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Giang acknowledged and applauded the force’s outstanding achievements in crime prevention and control. He said that the feats-of-arms demonstrated the force’s  spirit of ingenuity, courage, high determination, proactiveness and creativeness in attacking and suppressing criminals, contributing to beautifying the good virtues of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new period, and deserving the trust of the Party, the State and the people.

The defense chief directed Vietnamese coast guard force in general and the professional and legal force in particular to continue coordinating with other relevant forces, closely manage the assigned areas, achieve more feats-of-arms, and effectively fight against crimes and violations of law at sea.

The force was also urged to ensure law enforcement, contributing to maintaining territorial sovereignty, political security, social order and safety in the waters across Vietnam.
