My Hao town starts enlistment drive and launches tree-planting festival
PANO – Together with the Military Youth Advisory Board and the Political Department of Military Region 3, local authorities of My Hao town (Hung Yen province) on February 14 held a meeting with new enlistees and launched the tree-planting festival 2022.
The event saw the attendance of leaders from the Political Department of Military Region 3, the Military Youth Advisory Board, the Hung Yen provincial Military Command, the provincial Youth Union, representatives from other agencies and units, and 180 new enlistees as well.

During the event, delegates offered incense to fallen soldiers at My Hao town's War Cemetery, inquired after and presented gifts to new enlistees in the locality, and kicked off the tree-planting festival in Xuan Nhan village, Xuan Duc commune.

According to the My Hao town Military Command, this year the command has selected 180 new recruits and organized a training course on Party knowledge for outstanding youths. As a result, 87 youths were granted certificates.

Meanwhile, the command has closely worked with military units to make thorough preparation for the handover ceremony of new enlistees in line with the COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

Moreover, the Military Youth Advisory Board, together with units and agencies in the whole military, has conducted various meaningful activities.

In detail, the board and the Political Departments of Military Region 2, 3, and 9 will visit and grant nearly 400 gifts to needy new enlistees on February 14-20, hold seminars, plant around 50,000 new trees in response to the tree-planting movements themed “Forever grateful to Uncle Ho” and the government’s program of planting one billion green trees entitled “For a green Vietnam” in the 2021-2025 period.
