* The Hanoi Capital Command launched a tree-planting festival at Regiment 692 under Division 301.
In 2021, the command planted and took care of more than 18,000 trees of different kinds. In 2022, the command has set a goal to plant 15,000 timber, shade and fruit trees.
Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Trong Trien, Political Commissar of the Hanoi Capital Command, asked the party committees of units at all levels to continue boosting information dissemination to raise the public awareness of the meaning of tree-planting, contributing to ecological environment protection and climate change prevention.

* The same day, Warehouse KT789 under the General Department of Technical Services launched a tree-planting festival.
Over the past five years, the general department has planted nearly 1.5 million trees. In 2021 alone, the unit planted 1,850 trees as planned, contributing to beautifying the barracks.

* The Armored Corps kicked off a tree-planting festival on February 8 in response to the government’s program of planting one billion green trees.
After the launching ceremony, troops planted over 2,000 timber and fruit trees around their barracks.
This year, agencies and units in the Armored Corps plan to plant more than 25,000 trees of different kinds to build a green, clean, and beautiful environment and prevent soil erosion.

* Meanwhile, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Border Guard Command kicked off a tree-planting festival in 2022.
After the ceremony, the unit's officers and soldiers planted 11 green trees in the command’s campus.
In 2022, the command directed its affiliated units to plant 2,117 green trees surrounding their barracks.

* The same day, Military Region 1 (MR1) kicked off the tree-planting festival themed “Forever grateful to Uncle Ho” in 2022.
After the launching ceremony, leaders of the Military Region 1 Command and MR1’s troops planted 150 green trees.
As scheduled, the region will plant 6,000 green trees in February at its H8 Training Ground.
On the occasion, the region planted 142,140 new trees of different kinds around their barracks.
