Prior to the Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs the units have been working closely with local Party committees and authorities to organize a wide range of activities, such as educating and disseminating the Party’s and State’s guidelines on policies for war veterans, national contributors, and conducting gratitude activities.
Having been briefed on reports from the chains-of-commands, Gen. Chiem highly valued the units’ preparations in supporting war veterans’ and national contributors’ families to overcome difficulties.
The general also asked the units to raise public awareness, especially among youngsters, of the significance of the Wounded Soldiers’ and Martyrs' Day; to launch more emulation movements to pay tribute to wounded soldiers and martyrs; to offer more assistance to policy beneficiaries, particularly martyrs’ families, wounded troops and national contributors; and to implement the projects on searching and repatriating remains of martyrs.
