MND delegation pays Tet visit to Battalion 62
PANO - On January 30, a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense (MND), led by Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung paid a lunar New Year (Tet) visit to Battalion 62 under Regiment 236 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service’s Division 361.
During the visit, the delegation checked the unit’s combat documents, observed the unit’s coordination in the fight against airborne enemy and its practice of plan A2 to deal with emerging situations. The delegation also inspected the unit’s fire and explosion prevention and control, traffic safety guarantee, assurance of good technical conditions for missions and Tet-welcoming policy for troops.

Gen. Tung applauded the unit for its accomplishments in 2024, the troops for their solidarity and striving to build a comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical unit.
He highlighted the unit’s strict observance of combat readiness, duty, and combat duty regulations, organization of guard sessions to ensure safety for the barracks and designated targets, and readiness of personnel to address contingencies.

The GDP leader asked the unit’s leaders and chain-of-command to raise troops’ awareness of combat readiness; manage troops and provided weapons; and enhance guard sessions to ensure absolute safety during Tet holiday. He also noted that the unit should well organize interesting entertainment activities for troops, tree-planting festival, and carry out post-Tet activities.
