MND delegation inspects MR3
PANO - Delegation No.1 of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), led by Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister General Nguyen Tan Cuong, conducted an inspection on June 12 of Military Region 3 (MR3)’s implementation of military-defense tasks and the reorganization of local military agencies under the new two-level local administrative system.
Following the inspection, General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended MND agencies for their close coordination with the Vietnam Border Guard Command and MR3 Command in preparing for the inspection and proactively carrying out tasks related to the reorganization of local military agencies.

Gen. Cuong urged MR3 to continue thoroughly implementing the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the reorganization of administrative units at all levels and the establishment of the two-level administrative model; the proposals of the Central Military Commission; the decisions of the Defense Minister; and the guidance of the General Staff, the General Department of Political Affairs, and relevant MND agencies on restructuring local military organizations.

Regarding regional defensive area commands and the Vietnam Border Guard Command under provincial-level military commands, after their establishment, MR3 and Border Guard Commands have directed them to maintain a high level of combat readiness, closely monitor the situation to offer timely advice and respond effectively to any circumstance, ensure adequate personnel, weapons, equipment, and seamless communication, and remain ready to fulfill all assigned tasks.
Meanwhile, Gen. Cuong requested the MR3 Command to effectively carry out Party and political work, strengthen education to raise troops’ awareness and sense of responsibility, and ensure sufficient logistical, technical, and financial support. He also stressed the need for regular updates on developments and timely resolution of emerging issues during the reorganization of local military agencies and the adjustment of organizational structures, among other duties.
