Regiment 893 holds vibrant activities for recruits
PANO - On the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay, the traditional New Year festival of the Khmer people, the Youth Union Organization of Battalion 207 of Regiment 893 under the An Giang Provincial Military Command organized a variety of meaningful recreational activities for its officers and soldiers, especially Khmer ethnic servicemen on April 15.
The event took place in a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere, featuring diverse activities such as sack jumping, tug-of-war, water relay games, and other interesting cultural and artistic exchange programs.

The folk games were not only entertaining, but also created a healthy playground, helped improve troops’ spiritual life, promote their exchanges, strengthen solidarity and cohesion between officers and soldiers, and build a healthy, united, and cohesive military cultural environment.
Notably, this year’s activities focused more on recruits, especially those celebrating the festival away from home for the first time. The care and attention from the Party committee, commanders, and Youth Union Organization helped recruits quickly integrate into the military environment, ease homesickness, maintain stable morale, and be fully aware of their tasks.

These practical activities reflected the unit’s leadership’s care for the spiritual life of troops, while contributing to preserving and promoting the fine cultural identity of the Khmer people within the military environment. This, in turn, motivated officers and soldiers, particularly recruits, to feel secure in performing their duties, actively train, and strive to successfully accomplish all assignments.
