* In Xom Moi village, Ninh Tay commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province, the Party and People’s Committees, the People’s Council and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province kicked off a tree-planting festival in response to the government’s program of planting one billion green trees in the 2021-2025 period.

This year, the province sets a target to plant 12.11 million trees to build a green, clean, and beautiful environment.
In 2021, the province planted nearly 626,000 green trees and over 1,400 hectares of forest.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan required the party committees of units at all levels to continue boosting information dissemination to raise the public awareness of the meaning of the festival and the long-term benefit of tree-planting, contributing to preventing forest exploitation.

After the launching ceremony, participants planted 600 new Pterocarpus macrocarpus trees in the forest area of Xom Moi village, Ninh Tay commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa.
* The same day, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Committee of Khanh Hoa province, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Can Lam district (Khanh Hoa), launched a tree-planting festival themed “Forever grateful to Uncle Ho.”

At the event, leaders of local authorities and Youth Union members planted new green trees, handed over 20,000 mangrove seedlings to Can Lam district People’s Committee and the HCM Communist Youth Union Organization of Khanh Hoa province, and presented 20 gifts to needy families in the locality as well.
* On February 7, border guard units of Nghe An province actively responded to the government’s program of planting one billion green trees.

In detail, officers and soldiers from Nam Can Border Station planted 120 green trees, including 100 timber and 20 fruit ones.
Troops from Keng Du Border Station closely worked with local authorities to plant 50 timber trees of different kinds surrounding their barracks and along the roads in Keng Du commune, Ky Son district.

Meanwhile, troops of Flotilla 2 launched a tree-planting festival and planted more than 100 fruit and timber trees around their barracks.
* The Military Region 4 (MR4) Command kicked off a tree-planting festival 2022 at the national relic site of the MR4 Museum.
After the ceremony, participants planted 27 red bauhinia and white Dalbergia tonkinensis flowers at the site.
Earlier, the command and its affiliated units offered incense and flowers in tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh and martyrs at the site.
Responding to the movement, MR4 planted over 130,000 green trees, including 27,000 fruits ones, and 103,650 trees for timber and shade.
