The factory was established in mid-1965 amidst the fierce phase of the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists for national salvation. Over the past six decades of growth, weathering countless difficulties and hardships, the factory has constantly developed in all aspects. During wartime, it not only carried out on-site repairs but also advanced to battlefields to ensure technical supplies for combat forces. In addition, it engaged in research and innovation of various equipment, notably the K-860 radar system, which importantly supported missile launch control centers, contributing to the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the Air” victory and other glorious feats-of-arms of the air defense - air force troops.
In peacetime, the factory has deeply invested in technological modernization, mastering the repair processes of advanced radar systems, meeting the demands of military modernization. In addition, it has formed mobile repair teams to support units under the Service and the Navy, including those garrisoned on islands, helping maintain good technical services of weapons and equipment and firmly safeguard national sovereignty.
